WHO WE ARE
In 1992, the first Energy Management Company was established in Saudi Arabia under the name of Energico in association with Energistics-UK, one of the leading Energy Management Engineers to work in the generation and consumption sectors of Power and Electricity.
The first Demand Side Management and Load Shifting (DSM&LS) System on the Power Consumption sector was installed at the Saudi French Bank in 1993.
The success of this project followed through with ten such DSM &LS Projects in the Kingdom. Noticeably, the Kingdom Centre with 25,000TR Chilled Water Storage for almost 4MW at full load shifting during the peak demand hours.
Energico with its parent company Energistics was elected for the International Technology Award by CIBSE-UK. In addition, Energistics together with Control Technology International (CTi)-USA won the Power Plant Award in the US for the Valley Medical Centre California.
In 2005, Energico was converted into a SAGIA Company under the name of International Consortium for Energy Management (ICEM) as the Saudi Foreign Investment Company of Energistics-UK.
In 2005 ICEM entered actively in the District Cooling technology in Saudi Arabia. It is followed with several major District cooling projects including King Saud University 60,000TRH Capacity, Jabal Omar Development Makkah 100,000TRH and several other projects. ICEM developed several District Cooling, Building Services, TES and Energy Management projects including Movenpick Hotel, Kazakhstan Parliament House, Al Rajhi Bank Head Quarters, Kempinski hotels, Rocco Forte Hotel, King Saud University, Jabal Omar Development, Tokyo Islamic Centre, Bahrain King Khalid Mosque, Gothenburg Mosque-Sweden, Al Ola Development- Jumairah Hotel etc.
CTi and ICEM were involved in several airbase Projects of high security, including underground bunkers and aircraft engine testing facilities under an NDA agreement.
In 2014, ICEM signed JV agreements with International Specialist Companies to develop Combine Cycle and TIAC for new and existing Power plants based on their own patent technologies
ICEM developed a unique Energy Center system mainly for major projects such as Universities, Hospitals, Malls, Housing Projects and other major standalone facilities. Energy Center will allow the developer to be self-sufficient on power, chilled water and hot water. The TES and Hydronic System for the TIAC will be designed and installed by ICEM as of their many TES Systems installed in the Kingdom on the consumption side of the Power Sector.
The JV also has Energistics (UAE), WinPower (Portugal) as energy system integrators, TRONOS (Germany) as mobile Solar energy solutions and CTi (USA) as their in-house control strategy developer using Allen Bradley or Siemen’s PLC control Systems.
ICEM and associates have highly qualified technical members of various disciplines from around the world to successfully craft District Cooling, TES, TIAC, Combined Cycle and other Energy Management projects.
